Alan Crowley CEO of ZMission Data Networks Meeting the People Who Shape the Future of Energy at the Tech Tour, Essen
Alan Crowley, CEO, ZMission Data Networks speaking to an audience at the Tech Tour in Essen
Last week at the Tech Tour in Essen, I had the privilege of standing alongside peers, industry leaders, innovators and some of the brightest minds shaping the future of energy and fleet transformation. The 4th edition of the Tech Tour Sustainability flagship event delivered exactly what our sector needs right now: clarity, ambition and a shared commitment to accelerate the transition to cleaner, smarter and more resilient transport and energy systems.
For me, events like this are not just about panels or presentations. They are about people. Real connections. Honest conversations. The chance to sit with fellow leaders who are navigating the same challenges and opportunities we face every day at ZMission Data Networks. From grid innovation, charging infrastructure and hydrogen pathways to digital intelligence and fleet electrification, Essen created the space for meaningful dialogue that moves the entire industry forward.
Why these connections matter
When leaders across the energy and mobility ecosystem come together, something powerful happens. The barriers shrink. The ideas sharpen. The collective momentum becomes very real. In Essen, I saw first-hand how collaboration is no longer a nice-to-have, it is the backbone of progress.
One recurring message I heard throughout the event was clear. A unified operational view is no longer optional. It is essential. And for the first time at a global industry gathering, we received direct confirmation from peers, partners and operators that our éxō fleets platform is not just timely, but vital for delivering this unified visibility across fleets, energy and infrastructure. That validation reinforces exactly why we built it.
éxō Fleets role in what comes next
At ZMission Data Networks we have always believed that the future of cleaner fleets and smarter energy systems will be built through partnership. The intelligence, modelling and operational insights we bring to fleet operators only become more powerful when integrated with the innovations happening across energy generation, infrastructure, policy and finance.
The Tech Tour in Essen underscored the importance of staying plugged into that global community. It is how we continue to refine our platform, anticipate market needs and support fleets as they modernise, electrify and prepare for the next wave of transformation.
Looking ahead
Events like this are reminders that no single organisation can lead this transition alone. It will be built by networks of committed people who choose to show up, collaborate and push the industry forward.
To everyone I met or reconnected with in Essen, thank you. Your insights and ambition are shaping a better energy and transport future, and ZMission Data Networks is proud to be part of that journey.
The energy sector is evolving quickly. Innovation is accelerating. Investments are expanding. The outlook is clearer than ever.
And it all starts with the connections we choose to make.
