From California to Cork: How Fleets Across Ireland, the UK, and Europe Can Tap into Zero-Emission Incentives with ZeroMission

By Cian Kavanagh, Inside Sales at ZeroMission

Last week, I shared the exciting news that Southern California is rolling out over $650 million in incentives for trucks, buses, EV charging, and cleaner infrastructure. The response was immediate and energizing,  I had dozens of fleet operators reach out, eager to understand how funds in. their country could be accessed and how ZeroMission could support them through the process.

It’s a clear reminder: funding is one of the most important catalysts for zero-emission adoption. But this isn’t just happening in the U.S.

Here in Ireland, across the UK, and throughout Europe, there’s a growing network of financial supports designed to help fleets make the shift to electric and low-emission vehicles. And just like we do in California, ZeroMission is helping clients navigate and secure those opportunities.

Ireland offers several incentive schemes through SEAI and other government-led bodies to ease the transition:

  • EV Grant Scheme for Business

  • Accelerated Capital Allowance (ACA

  • Zero/Reduced Tolling

  • Commercial — Light Commercial Vehicles (N1S)

  • Commercial — Large Panel Vans (N1L)

  • Electric Small Public Service Vehicles (eSPSV25) – Taxis, Hackneys & Limousines

  • Infrastructure Support

  • Public / En‑Route Charging (ZEVI & TII)

In the United Kingdom

  • Plug-In Van and truck Grant: Up to £2,500 for small vans and £5,000 for large vans.

  • Rapid Charging Fund to support HGV

  • Local Transport Decarbonisation Funds

  • Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS)

In  Europe:

  • AFIR-Compliant Charging Infrastructure Funding:

  • National Incentives

  • Innovation & Pilot Projects

And this is to name just a few in each region

Here’s how ZeroMission Helps

Across the board, whether you're based in Dublin, Leeds, or Lyon, the funding exists, but navigating it isn’t always straightforward. That’s where we come in.

At ZeroMission, we help fleet operators:

  • Understand which incentives apply to their operations

  • Develop a funding and fleet transition roadmap

  • Handle grant applications and compliance

  • Design infrastructure rollouts and digital optimisation strategies

If last week’s interest is any indication, fleet leaders are eager for guidance, clarity, and momentum. Whether you're beginning your journey or expanding a pilot fleet, we’re ready to help you secure funding and develop a zero-emission future.
